Location - Cardiff

Salary - Up to £35,000+excellent benefits

Regulatory Developments Officer is required for a leading insurance company based in Cardiff. You will be required to provide conduct and regulatory assistance to senior management, ensuring the continued delivery of fair outcomes to all customers and compliance with regulatory expectations. This will be delivered through the provision of summaries of regulatory papers and communications that highlight the key implications for all customers.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assessment of regulatory communications relating to conduct, determining implications for the operations and customers.
  • Ensure that all advice provided to the business and change methodologies created recognise the impact on customers.
  • Help the Conduct Area articulate issues concisely orally and in reports for key stakeholders highlighting where changes to processes and policies are required.
  • Articulate complex regulatory requirements to stakeholders to ensure that both customer and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Research, prepare and issue reports in relation to regulatory communications.
  • Assessment of regulatory communications, determining the implications for the operations and customers.
  • Provide a methodology for implementing regulatory change to the Conduct Area and Senior Management.
  • Attend key Project Meetings, providing the subject matter expertise to enable informed decision making.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and listening skills.
  • Able to build open relationships and gain consensus with all internal stakeholders.
  • Adaptable and open-minded to find new or better ways to work and provide fair outcomes for customers.
  • Well organised with an ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise projects and business as usual work under pressure.
  • The ability to gather and interpret information/data in order to make good decisions or provide creative solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with an analytical mindset.
  • Compliance experience within the Financial Services industry, ideally General Insurance.
