Phil Fox
Operations Director
Phil joined Huntswood in 2001 as a project manager, and was subsequently
appointed Operations Director in 2006, accountable for all of Huntswood’s
‘customer service’ engagements. He later moved to a dedicated account manager
role, overseeing Huntswood’s relationship with a large multi-brand UK retail
bank. Phil left Huntswood in 2007 to work for Capita, re-joining in June 2008 as
a service delivery manager, before being appointed to his current role of
Director of Operations.
Prior to joining Huntswood Phil spent 23 years working for Prudential. During
this time he undertook a wide variety of compliance and customer services based
roles, encompassing complaints, business reviews, new business validation,
compliance monitoring, internal audit and investigations.
Phil’s wealth of knowledge and experience adds real value to Huntswood’s customer
service propositions .

Neil Minell
Senior Delivery Manager
Neil has worked for many years in the financial services sector, with the first 20 years’
service at the Prudential. During this time he held a variety of management roles overseeing
projects including SSAS and SIPP operations, regional IFA relationship management and
training/communication for Prudential staff.
After leaving the Prudential, Neil started contracting and, shortly afterwards, joined
Huntswood as a Project Manager. His current role of Senior Delivery Manager requires him to
oversee a number of Huntswood’s client engagements, ensuring delivery of all agreed and contracted objectives.
These engagements have ranged from one person for two weeks to over 500 resources in multiple
sites for several years. These engagements are primarily compliance and complaints based,
but he also oversees past business reviews, para-planning operations, claims management
teams within the travel industry, new business validation and sanctions operations.

Steve Kitchen
Senior Delivery Manager
Steve worked for 15 years within the Royal London Group conducting a variety of
management roles. These roles included compliance monitoring of all regulated
business areas, industry wide reviews such as pension, FSAVC & mortgage
endowment projects and, ultimately, the oversight of regulated new business
ventures. For the last 8 years Steve has worked with Huntswood in employed and
contract roles, either overseeing a portfolio of projects to ensure delivery or
directly managing larger ventures. These have been varied in terms of scale,
context and longevity, covering both public and private sector clients. Until
recently, Steve has been the Senior Operations Manager on our largest client
engagement, overseeing the project delivery of a circa.1000 resource multi-sited
project. Steve’s current role of Senior Delivery Manager requires him to oversee
the delivery of existing projects in the North of England, as well as supporting
colleagues in developing further opportunities. Due to his extensive involvement
with one of the major high street banks in PPI complaint handling, Steve is our
subject matter expert in this highly visible area of regulatory interest. .

Scot Merritt
Senior Delivery Manager
Prior to joining Huntswood, Scot spent 11 years in the financial services sector.
During this time, Scot undertook advice sales support and administration within
the UK’s most prominent life assurance company. He initially joined Huntswood as
part of a top 4 retail bank’s mortgage endowment review in 2003. Since then,
Scot has held a variety of roles and project experience, working with a number
of Europe’s major financial institutions including operational management of
large scale engagements including bank charges complaints and PPI past business
reviews.
Scot’s current role of Senior Delivery Manager requires him to oversee a number
of Huntswood’s client engagements and maintain excellent client relationships,
ensuring delivery of all agreed and contracted objectives. Engagements include
complaint handling (regulated / non-regulated), customer services, past business
reviews and sanctions compliance.
FPC qualified with a passion for performance improvement – Scot’s background
offers a valuable perspective that has enabled Huntswood and its clients alike
to achieve their goals.

Michael Ferry
Senior Delivery Manager
Michael’s progression in financial services began over 20 years ago in the
Clydesdale Bank, providing him a wide view of financial services and customer
relations which culminated in an adviser position within the retail network.
Following this, Michael’s remit moved to sales, service, management and
compliance for the Cooperative Insurance and then within a firm of IFAs, before
undertaking a contracted compliance role for Huntswood in 2004.
In 2006 Michael was invited to join the permanent senior management team within
the Customer Services Division. Since then, he has held responsibility for a
range of projects, including supporting the adviser populations within the
wealth and retail divisions of one of the largest UK banks. His level 4 diploma
in financial planning helps provide an insight into the current challenges
experienced by the industry at present. Michael manages a number of Huntswood
projects, which includes large scale multi-site operations; he enjoys providing
oversight and direction as well as hands-on operational management support.
Working in partnership with stakeholders, Michael’s driver is to continually
raise the benchmark when delivering the agreed outcomes for Huntswood’s clients.

Wendy Esling
Senior Delivery Manager
Wendy joined Huntswood in June 2012 as a Senior Delivery Manager. She has
brought with her a wealth of both private and public sector experience gained
from a variety of roles, spanning financial services and local Government.
Having spent over 18 years in the financial services sector, Wendy has held key
roles in areas such as project management, process design, development and
improvement, operations management and risk management.
After leaving the
financial services, Wendy spent over four years in the public sector working for
a local authority. Her achievements include leading on the design, development
and implementation of a business performance management system, the
implementation and management of a corporate complaints process and leading on a
contract management improvement programme. She brings with her a strong breadth
of experience in policy, performance, project management and procurement.

Steve Maybanks
Senior Delivery Manager
Steve has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years, working
for the Prudential, Schroder Pensions, Selestia and Equitable Life.
His roles
have included the management of large operational areas, providing services to
both in-house and external clients. He has also worked as a relationship manager
to a third party service provider.
On leaving Equitable Life at the end of 2011,
Steve started a new career as a contractor and joined Huntswood in June 2012 to
take on the role of Director of the PPI programme for a top UK bank.

Chris Nixon
Project Support Analyst
Chris joined the Managed Client Services division within Huntswood in 2004 having
spent five years working in the life and pensions industry, with specialist
knowledge within the self invested personal pension (SIPP) sector.
Since joining Huntswood Chris has undertaken quality control, audit, training and
team management roles for clients in market areas as diverse as regulatory
review environments, financial paraplanning and the travel and tourism sector.
As a Project Support Analyst, Chris’ current responsibilities reside in meeting
many of our client’s management information needs, ensuring that any statistical
reporting requirements, regardless of how bespoke, are delivered to standards
that not only meet, but exceed expectations.
