RDR - test your knowledge
While details of how RDR will be implemented are still being finalised, what is known is that financial advisers will need to have a higher level of academic qualification by 2012 in order to give advice to customers.
The recognised minimum standard will be the Diploma in Financial Planning. The diploma consists of seven JO units dealing with topics that include tax, trusts, pensions and investments.
Over 50,000 advisers are affected. With pass rates poor (under 50%), take up limited (approximately 80% of the target audience have not yet attained diploma or higher qualifications), a need to pass four out of the eight JO units to gain accreditation and only three opportunities each year to sit the exam – time is running out.
Huntswood has developed a range of options to help advisers pass the required exams. To determine whether you might need our help have a go at the multiple-choice questions shown below for JO qualifications 1 to 7.
If you score eight or less contact our RDR experts and they will outline the range of tailored options available to you.
