Skilled Persons
Providing assurance of the delivery of a function or a product is key to ensuring that quality is embedded in the continuous improvement process.
Huntswood’s quality model has been designed to ensure that we focus on the
three key elements of the business operating environment: the commercial
outlook, the customer experience and the regulatory requirements.
Our teams provide oversight of the three key elements in large scale operations
and in project environments. Our uniqueness is that we provide the skills
to assess
implementation and set-up issues as well as to understand
operational weaknesses and how the operations should be optimised.
A specific area of focus is in providing advice and assurance on section 166 Skilled Persons reports commissioned by the FSA. The FSA will be making increasing use of this power as it seeks to enhance current supervisory arrangements.
The reasons for commissioning such a report fall in to the following categories:
- Remedial
To assist in the design of a remedial action plan - Preventative
To gather and analyse information on an identified risk and develop recommendations for resolution - Monitoring
To conduct a review as to the systems and controls and governance frameworks within a firm - Diagnostic
To find out more about a known issue or concern
The skills and experience within Huntswood's consulting division make us ideally placed to assist in such activity.
