Account Director
The purpose of the role is to identify and target sales opportunities and to directly manage the client relationship so as to close new business and then, in conjunction with colleagues, to develop repeat business sales strategies for the client through the development of robust account plans.
The ultimate objective of this role is to turn new business leads into repeat business opportunities. Put another way, to deliver the Retention team a steady flow of new Huntswood clients for development.
Accountabilities:

Participation in the development of specific strategies for current/prospective clients

Exercise high quality judgement in the allocation of time/effort to the development of a prospective client relationship
|

Work closely with the Business Development Co-ordinator and Marketing to set and co-ordinate meetings, schedules, availability and marketing campaigns
|

Ensure that a professional “research driven” approach is constantly adopted in each meeting – namely to highlight knowledge/understanding of the prospective client etc.

The application of the standard Huntswood sales model
|
| • |
Ensure that sales effort is 100% focused on accurately reflecting the Huntswood proposition and that all commitments are realistic, achievable and made in line with agreed practice
|

Ensure that the context and results of all meetings are carefully documented onto the sales management system and that all other sales reporting requirements are met
|
| • |
Ensure that the transition to the Delivery team is carefully handled through effective liaison with the appropriate personnel
|

Actively participate in the scoping process as and when requested
|
| • |
Assume Account Director responsibilities with regard to the medium-term development of client relationships, i.e. obtain and maintain references, obtain referrals and repeats, etc.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

Knowledge of and experience within Financial Services industry (not necessarily within sales but this would be an advantage) is essential
|

|
Previous acquisition sales experience would be an advantage
|
| •
|
Previous outsourcing experience (sales/management) would be an advantage
|
